Closets can be a real clutter catastrophe, causing a lot of undue stress. Think about it, one of the first places you go to in your home upon waking is your closet. Closet chaos is just simply the wrong way to start your day. If you are anything like our client, Deb, your master bedroom closet needs some love. Maybe just adding a shoe rack, installing a lower rod for hanging shorter items, or rethinking your dirty laundry situation is all you need to love your closet again.
In this case, however, we helped Deb do a complete makeover of her closet space. The overall quantity of space usually isn’t the issue. The problem we often find is that space isn’t being maximized. Don’t feel bad if your eye doesn’t see the organizational potential of all of your nooks and crannies. That’s where we come in. Small spaces are not an issue. There is so much you can do with a small space once you have a plan and the right supplies.
We redesigned Deb’s master closet to better utilize the space. The original shelves were way too far apart, and there was definitely room for more hanging space. There was also no proper shoe storage. We all know there’s just about nothing more annoying than searching for that other black shoe amongst a sea of black shoes.
The supplies for this project are from the Container Store. They were able to provide Deb with a helpful video for installation, allowing her and her husband to assemble the closet themselves. The results: Deb says, “I absolutely love this closet, Jan. When I moved my clothes in, I felt like I was moving in with my boyfriend.” We love the excitement, and we are so happy to have the opportunity to create spaces that make you happier to be in your homes.
