First of all I have to ask this question: Why the heck don’t they put kickstands on kids bikes?! Okay, I get that for the first half of the bike’s life it has training wheels to keep it up. But after that it is such a pain to store!
Same with those darn scooters! Ugh.
Many people will store bikes by hooks hanging on the wall or ceiling. Well, this isn’t always the best option for kids since they are usually quite difficult to get down for the little ones. And don’t we want our kids to have easy access to play equipment so they opt for it instead of the Nintendo or iPhone?
The solution is simple: buy a bike rack. Most bike stores will sell them, or of course you can find them online. Make sure you think it through and get one large enough for all your toys on two wheels. I have seen many clients that just purchase the ones with two slots. In this day and age that is typically not enough space.
This one works well for the three bikes and three scooters. Yes, it takes up a decent size footprint in the garage, but it is way better than bikes just scattered about!
Now the trick is to teach and remind your children to use it! Remember: A place for everything, and everything in its place!
