Getting organized can be a tough challenge for anyone. Staying organized can be a particularly overwhelming task for individuals with special needs such as ADD, ADHD, vision impairment, and those with physical limitations or cognitive challenges. At Can the Clutter, we help individuals and families with special needs organize and maintain organization in their lives.
Working out of the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area, our professional organizers can work with individuals or families whose unique life situations make organizing a daunting task. With our non-judgmental, individualized approach to organizing, we not only help clients with special needs organize, but we also work side-by-side with them to create a system that can be easily maintained.
Examples Of Our Work
In Minnesota, Hennepin County has hired us to help individuals with special needs organize. We are currently working with a client with severe cognitive challenges, and funding has been approved by the county to continue to help him maintain an organized life.
In Oregon, we helped a blind woman create a system of organization in her home. This included organizing paper files and labeling in Braille. For more on that experience, click here.
As the President and Founder of Can the Clutter, I deliver presentations and offer classes on topics of home organizing. I create my presentations with the needs of the specific audience in mind. I have worked with clients with cognitive challenges and have presented to Vision Loss Resources. For more on ADD/ADHD and clutter, check out this blog post.
